Team barista @ caloocan city jail

a has once again been given the chance to share the world of coffee to

Barista course in a different view.

 

Our team Left Fairview at 8 in the morning and reached The city of Caloocan at 9am specifically at dagat-dagat where the our fellow trainees are being held. We were welcomed by the Jail personnel warmly along with their Superintendent, Warden. FELLY ATIENZA CEBUMA. the orientation for the training program

started immediately once everyone is in place. It started with a prayer led by :Nixon Cernal, detainee, to start the day right and then followed by the national anthem that was then led by JAIL OFFICER, KAYLA EGO-UGAN. Starting off with a greeting and welcoming Ms. DEEJAE JUANTA, Center for Barista President has led the orientation for our trainees. A representative from TESDA CAMANAVA under the governance of Director MARIFLOR LIWANAG was sent to acknowledge the start of the training in the Caloocan city jail. Their Trainer Mr. Andrew Silvestre II, an Accredited and Certified Barista and Bartender Trainer who is also a Competency Assessor will be handling the class to make sure that the competencies provided under TESDAs Training Regulations will be implement along with the Evidence Guide and also not to forget Jail officer ANNIELYN MIANO, to join the class and regulate safety.

These students are hoping for a new start once they get out of the correctional and make brighter future by entering the world of coffee. Young and old along with different personalities, different stories and 25 lives are hoping to make themselves better once more. Good Luck Trainees!
